All On 4 Plus® Costs

Clear, upfront costs with flexible options - so your new smile fits your lifestyle.

Dental Implants Costs, Results, and Transparency

The question of cost varies depending on individual circumstances. One review site compared 839 doctors and clinics worldwide and found that the average cost for All On 4 was just over $30,000.

At All On 4 Plus® we do these procedures almost daily so it can be done more efficiently, and as a general guide our typical fee is $25,000 per arch, either top or bottom, and this is for “All On 4 Plus” which includes the Immediate Final Teeth with a strong titanium frame.

There are some situations where the bone quality or volume is so poor that we need to do some additional procedures like nerve transposition, bone grafting, or special long implants anchored in the cheekbones known as Zygoma implants, which can all be done at the same time and in the one surgery but can add $3,000 to $9,000 to the cost.

These situations are not common and by far most treatments end up being around the $25,000 mark per arch, or $50,000 if doing top and bottom together.

Understanding Your Financial Options for All On 4 Plus® Treatment

Planning for dental treatment involves more than just the procedure itself—it’s also about understanding your financial options. At All On 4 Plus®, we strive to make the process as clear as possible by guiding you through the various rebates, health fund contributions, and other financial resources available to help offset costs.

Medicare Rebate

Medicare pays a portion of your medical expenses. Whilst your dental expenses are not covered by Medicare, the Anesthetic procedure is an outpatient medical procedure and as such you will be entitled to receive a rebate towards the anesthetic fees.

How much out of a rebate you will receive and how much out of pocket will depend on your individual Safety Net bracket as well as whether you have had other medical expenditures that bring your balance closer to the Safety Net threshold.

Once you have your All On 4 Plus® procedure, the anesthetist will invoice you separately to the dentist. Their fee is typically $1450 for the first hour and then $600 for every half an hour following, but may change depending on the kind of surgery. Alternatively, you may receive a fixed fee quotation from the Anesthetist. You will receive a rebate from Medicare for this fee, however, the amount of rebate you are entitled to will depend on your yearly Medicare ‘safety net’ threshold amount.

Health Fund Rebate

If you have private health insurance you may be able to receive a small amount back if you have dental cover.

If you have General Dental cover only you will receive a partial rebate for the smaller items like extractions. There is typically no limit on how many smaller general procedures you can have and claim, but there are limits on how much is paid towards each such procedure.

Primarily, All On 4 Plus® treatment falls under ‘major dental’, which typically has an annual cap of $500 to $2,500. If you have ‘Major Dental’ your rebate will be the value of the residual remaining from your annual limit under Major Dental plus a separate rebate for the items that fall under General Dental.

Whether you get anything back at all will depend on who your private health insurer is and their own policies and terms and it is not something that we can control.

Early Release Super

Early release super may be available for patients that have pain. Strictly speaking, it is not a rebate on your treatment but a drawing on your super, which can be up to the full cost of the procedure depending on how much you have in your Super.

This has become very popular for those who have enough in their Super and who are eligible as it allows you to draw out of your super for health reasons

Frequently Asked Questions

It's completely natural to have questions and we believe informed patients make confident decisions. That's why we've put together this handy FAQ—to help you better understand what to expect, and how we support you every step of the way.

What are All On 4 Plus ® Dental Implants?

All On 4 Plus ® Dental Implants are implants that are placed into your jawbone, providing a sturdy foundation for a permanent set of prosthetic teeth to be attached.

Are All-on-4 dental implant tooth bridges removable?

All-on-4 Plus ® dental implants provide a permanent solution for full arch restoration. Unlike traditional removable dentures, All-on-4 Plus ® implants are fixed in place, offering stability and functionality. The All-on-4 Plus ® technique utilises four strategically placed implants to support a full set of prosthetic teeth, these implants are permanently fixed into your jaw and won’t ever be removed. This fixed design ensures that the teeth remain securely in place, allowing people to enjoy normal chewing, speaking, and smiling without worrying about slippage or discomfort. While the bridge may be removed for maintenance and cleaning at the dentist, you won’t have to remove them at any other time, making them permanently in your mouth.

How painful is the All On 4 Plus® Procedure?

Personal experiences differ from person to person but typically pain is not a common complaint. In fact, most patients report that they have not taken the pain medication that we prescribed. Most procedures are done under general anaesthetic, so you are completely asleep, but we still use a local anaesthetic to completely numb your entire jaw to reduce the chances of postoperative pain. It’s normal to feel some discomfort while you’re recovering, but over the counter pain medication is usually enough to keep you comfortable.

Does food get stuck under All-On-4 Plus® Dental Implants?

Food can get stuck or caught underneath your All On 4 Plus bridge (teeth) however it is not something to worry about. We give you the appropriate tools to help make sure that you are cleaning your teeth properly, and these tools will also help to remove any food that may get caught. This includes special x-floss, interdental toothbrushes and in some cases a water flosser ( only given to those who DO NOT have zygoma implants).

How long do All On 4 Plus® Dental Implants last?

With good care and consistent hygiene, implants placed into the jawbone can last a lifetime, but they must have cleaned properly to avoid infection or failure. The teeth or prosthesis may need to be changed every 3-5 years sometimes longer, depending on your bite.

Can I pay off my All-On-4 Plus® Dental Implants over time?

Yes, we offer a number of payment plans and finance options that can be paid over a number of years. You can ready more information about our payment plans above.

Should my remaining teeth be removed in advance?

No. You do not have to get your teeth removed in advance. If you have some remaining teeth, we will remove them during your All On 4 Plus® surgery and there is no additional cost to having remaining teeth removed. In fact, it is actually useful if a patient has some natural teeth remaining. This is because we use the natural teeth as a guide when we are placing the implants to obtain an optimal outcome.

How long does the All On 4 Plus® procedure take?

The surgical procedure typically lasts between 1 to 3 hours per arch, depending on the type of implants that you are having. In most cases, patients receive temporary teeth on the same day as the surgery and their Immediate Final Teeth 24-48 hours later.

Do I still need to see a dentist after my All On 4 Plus® treatment is complete?

Yes. It is highly recommended that you get a clean every 6 months, however you do not need to come and see us, you can go to your regular or any dentist if preferred.
