For Ayden, the treatment marked a turning point. After surgery and placement of his initial bridge, he recalls feeling surprised by the change. “It doesn’t look like me—in a good way,” he says. “Now, I actually want to see myself smile. I don’t have to cover my mouth when I’m talking.”
Even simple pleasures became enjoyable again. “Carrot and dip—that’s my favourite food—and now I can eat it again,” he shares.
Ayden describes the experience as life-improving in more ways than one. “I don’t think people realise how much your teeth affect your day-to-day life until you don’t have to think about them anymore,” he says. “It’s not just eating—it’s how you feel when you speak to someone, or when you look in the mirror.”
When asked what advice he’d give to others who may be facing similar challenges, Ayden says: “Go talk to someone. I’d say look into your options and figure out what works for you. For me, it made a huge difference.”
