The warranty for titanium fixtures from the manufacturers is typically lifetime, while the warranty for the teeth themselves ranges from 3 to 5 years. However, this is not the primary concern when evaluating the quality of treatment and its longevity.
Did you know that the two leading causes of complications with dental implants are not related to the implant brand or the materials used for the teeth? Instead, they stem from inadequacies during surgery, often reflecting the surgeon's limitations in knowledge, skill, and experience. These key factors are:
- Restorative Space: This refers to the space over the implants where the bridge fits in the mouth. Issues with restorative space arise from inadequate bone preparation before implant placement, which can impact appearance, cleanability, implant health, durability, comfort, functionality, and overall cost.
- Optimal Positioning of Implants: Incorrect implant placement relative to the teeth positions can lead to bulky restorations, impairing speech, comfort, cleanability, and overall implant health.
A third critical factor is the type of prosthesis fitted. When a preliminary or temporary prosthesis is placed immediately after surgery, it may lack the necessary strength, and any cracks can compromise the implant's long-term health and lead to bone loss. This issue is discussed in detail under All-On-4 Plus® Costs and Types of Immediate Teeth.
As these issues are tied to the surgeon’s skill and expertise, they are not covered by any warranty. Moreover, the impact of these complications far exceeds that of a broken tooth or individual implant failures.

All-On-4 Plus® Warranty
Third-party warranties often cover specific components of your treatment, including implant hardware components and the implant bridge:
- Implant Hardware Components: Manufacturers typically provide a warranty for components lasting 10 years or more. All On 4 Plus® Premium Providers use the highest quality implants from leading manufacturers, which come with a lifetime warranty.
- Implant Bridge: There is a statutory defects warranty of 12 months for any product constructed by the laboratory. Additional warranty periods are provided depending on the type of teeth. For a Titanium-Reinforced Acrylic Final Bridge, the warranty is typically 3 years. For Zirconia-Porcelain teeth, the warranty is usually 5 years, as these are more durable. The laboratory will not charge the clinic for repairs within this period. However, frequent repairs may indicate that the bite forces exceed the material’s tolerance, necessitating an upgrade to stronger materials at an additional cost. At All On 4 Plus® Premium Providers, the upgrade cost is limited to the price difference between the original teeth and the stronger option, making it a more cost-effective solution for patients with heavy bites.
Despite warranties, as dental or surgical procedures, there can be no guarantees regarding the overall success of your treatment. Therefore, misconceptions about the relevance of warranties should be addressed.
Complications can occur even in the best of hands.
